OUR KNIGHTS

Roundtable Reviews would not be online were it not for the support of our small, supportive staff.   Our reviewers are our knights!  If you are interested in reviewing for Roundtable Reviews, please send an email!

Unfortunately, we have had a few reviewers sign up and then disappear for whatever reason.  The following names are reviewers who accepted books and then failed to complete reviews.

SYLVIA COCHRAN lives in sunny Southern California.  She is a Christian poet, an opinionated freelance writer, and teaches online classes for SuiteU.  Seeking to support a 3-books-a-week habit, she will read anything and everything, including the back of cereal boxes.

JEFF COOK is a corporate communications specialist who lives with his wife Tammy and two kids in Illinois, where he is often suckered into buying novels based on the cool-factor of the cover.  He reads a little of everything, but particularly enjoys fantasy, suspense, thrillers and non-fiction novels based on World War II.  His favorite authors include Stephen R. Donaldson, John Connolly and Jeffery Deaver."

TAMMY COOK also lives in McHenry, Illinois with her husband Jeff, two kids, and numerous pets.

DAVID FARNSWORTH loves to read, but rarely has time to indulge in books.  His love for sci-fi prompted him to join the staff. By day, David is employed full-time, but the rest of the time he is die-hard Red Sox fan, Patriots and Bruins fan and participates in many online fantasy leagues.

TRACY FARNSWORTH is pretty much gal of all trades.  By day, she spends her time as a freelance writer for many tourism and article Web sites.  She's been published in the "New Directions In Nursing" Fall/Winter 2007 issue and was a finalist in a Writer's Digest monthly competition.  When not toting her daughter to basketball games and practices or her son to GeoBee practices, Tracy likes to find a quiet spot with book in hand.

ROBERT GOSS is an avid reader living in Vermont.  A graduate of the St. Johnsbury Trade School, he worked for a year as Apprentice Woodpatternmaker in the Fairbanks-Morse scale factory before his ten year stint in the U. S. Air Force. Following his enlistment in the USAF, he worked for three years as a civilian employee in the USAF Depot at Chateauroux, France then for twenty three years as a computer programmer with IBM. Following his retirement from IBM, he worked for ten years with Barrecrafters. Robert spends his spare moments working on genealogy and reading, of course.  He is not picky on the genre he is reading, though he will name Jean Auel and Kathleen Woodiwiss as favorites, among others.

TONI KELLEY returns after a year hiatus.  Toni is a lifelong resident in the state of Michigan, as well as a wife and stay-at-home mother of three beautiful children, six dogs, and three cats.  In her spare moments, she has found time to become a freelance writer for several magazines along with becoming a published short story author.

JESSICA MALCOLM lives north of Atlanta in Acworth, Georgia with her husband, two sons, and a menagerie of fur babies--including three kitties, an ever-changing number of strays and, finally, the neighbor's cat who wanders in to spend the night.

Jessica works full-time as a domestic engineer.  Some of her duties include that of teacher, maid, nurse, editor, general handyman and chauffeur.  During her extremely rare down times, she enjoys writing poetry, children's stories, fiction and reviews.  Jessica is an avid reader and is even guilty of trying to read the final Harry Potter book whilst changing her baby's diaper.  Favorite genres include horror, suspense/thriller, fantasy, graphic novels, poetry, new age/occult, and, of course, parenting guides and children's books.

An award-winning journalist for over two decades, RANDY O'BRIEN'S first novel, JUDGE FOGG, was recently published by LiteraryRoad.  He has been a finalist and semi-finalist in several major creative writing contests and has optioned four screenplays.  He is a former President of the Tennessee Screenwriters Association and a former board member of the Tennessee Writers Alliance.  An avid reader, he reviews audiobooks for AudioFile magazine and has taught nonfiction creative writing classes at Middle Tennessee State University and Watkins College of Art and Design.

WENDALL SEXTON lives in Great Bend Kansas .  While trying to make a living through his part-time community college job, he fosters his desire to write through non-fiction (he has written for both the college, as well as the town, newspaper) and fiction (a plethora of sketches, short stories, and a couple novels) – all without, as of yet, attaining that elusive ‘published author’ title.  When not pursuing new writing projects, he is either conversing with fellow artistic friends, organizing his burgeoning collection of books, CDs, and movies, or engaging a few of his favorite authors – both classic (Tolkien, Lewis, or Dickens) and brand new (Rick Warren, Philip Yancey, and even Lemony Snicket – whose books, he admits, he has yet to read; but from the film on which the books were based, found himself very impressed with the story-telling technique).  Strong characters, with a good story, purveying the qualities of a worthwhile theme – those are what he hopes for with every book given him to read.

JERRY UNANGST lives in Ogden, Utah.  He is happily retired after serving twenty-two years in the Air Force as an AMMO troop where he got to play with bombs, bullets, rockets, missiles, and other various weapons of war.  During his service, he visited several far off lands such as Iraq, Turkey, England, Okinawa, South Korea, and Las Vegas.

He is an avid reader of almost every genre of books.  If he had to pick a particular favorite genre, it would be horror.  He understands that truly good horror stories are few and far between.  He also has this annoying habit of talking in the third-person.

L.L. WOODWARD is a ubiquitous representative of what was once referred to as "the silent majority." L.L. Woodard identifies with no particular race, organized religion, or ethnicity. He does admit to being part of the "Boomer" generation, whose thoughts, opinions, and insights have been garnered by experiences from the 1960's to the present in America.

No longer satisfied with remaining silent, L.L. Woodard now shares his ideas and experiences via the written word with the intent of engaging others in thought-provoking discourse. In addition, his time is spent as a proofreader and copy editor.
