“I can’t recount how many people have told me that they’ve always been self-conscious about inviting anyone over because they were worried about what their friends and families would think.”

These words come from Lauri Ward, the founder of Use What You Have®, a company specializing in improving your home using household goods that are already in your possession.  There is a difference between a house and a home, and most of us desire an appealing space that makes us feel warm, cozy, and satisfied.  With today’s increasing cost of living expenses, redecorating using Lauri’s principles is becoming a popular method.  HOME THERAPY covers the most common decorating mistakes and shows you how to fix them.  There are plenty of issues covered and all include before and after pictures to show you what a difference a small change can make.

It would be lengthy to list all of the topics found within HOME THERAPY, but I will cover a few of the issues.  If you’ve moved from a house to an apartment, you’ll find handy tips inside this book.  Those with children who want a formal, yet child-friendly, room, this book offers solutions.  If your house, like mine, is cluttered and needs thinning out, look no further!

I agree with all of what Lauri Ward states in her new book.  I recently reorganized my own living room--an odd space that is 15 feet by 9.5 feet, which makes it hard to arrange.  A lot of what I learned to do from watching interior decorating shows is applied in this book.  I can vouch that the method works!
