Cecily von Ziegesar and her bestselling series return for a sixth outing with YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT.  If you haven't discovered this series, you must!  I would start at the beginning before even thinking about picking up this latest.  For those who have been following the lives of these Manhattan teens, YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT shows a new side to Blair.

Anxiety mounts as the wealthy Manhattan teens wait to hear back from their selected colleges.  Blair and Selena make a pact to open their letters together.  Blair vows that when Yale's acceptance letter comes, she will finally have sex with Nate.  There is a problem on the horizon... Yale doesn't accept Blair, while Nate and Selena easily make it in.  Blair can't believe it!  What on earth happened?

YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT focuses more on Blair and Nate this time around, particularly on Blair.  If you haven't read the books and plan to catch up, stop reading this review now!

Readers of this popular series know that her mother is pregnant, much to Blair's dismay, and her little sister, pre-named Yale by Blair a while back,  is going to arrive much earlier than expected.  When Yale comes into the world, she really begins to turn Blair around.  While Blair has always been a bit over-the-top for me, this time I truly admired her.  Blair's character charmed and delighted me, and now I find myself eagerly waiting for news on which college she will choose.  Plus, there is always the main attraction that keeps all the readers coming back--just who is Gossip Girl anyway?  I've had my guesses throughout the series, I think now I may have figured it out.  I guess I'll have to keep reading to find out if I'm right!
