Cheyenne Maddox is beaten and left for dead by men who are after some photos.  Unfortunately, Cheyenne doesn't know what photos they are talking about.   Before passing out, she realizes they've killed her best friend. 

Brede Kristensen is a widower.  When he comes across the body of a woman during a brutal storm, he is relieved to discover she is alive.  He takes her to his ranch and cares for her until he can get a doctor in to look at her. 

When the woman awakens, she cannot remember her name or anything that might help Brede identify her.  He takes this woman into his home and into his heart.  However, as the truth is revealed, can he keep her safe? 

THE WAY TO A RANCHER'S HEART is a pleasing read.  It isn't very in-depth, however, as the shorter length does not allow for a good deal of character building.  The story does seem rushed along from start to finish. 

What is unique is that the author combines the romance with plenty of cooking details and even a couple of tasty recipes.  This foray into culinary romance is different and appreciated.
