HEART OF THE OUTLAW is the first book in the Heart and Soul Romance series. This first book introduces the Reeka, a warrior race of amazon-like women.  By order of the Inka Empire, all Reeka women are outlaws and are either sold as slaves or executed as criminals for their part in the genocide of their men.

Tenia is a young Reeka warrior captured as an outlaw and sold as a slave to a Daamen trader named Darvk. Tenia has dedicated her life to proving the innocence of the Reeka women and finding the real murderer of their men folk. The young warrior also hopes to
reunite her fellow Reeka sisters and take back her homeland.

HEART OF THE OUTLAW is a solid sci-fi story.  This book is full of action that holds the reader's attention from start to finish. Furthermore, the book contains a romantic twist or two adding another dimension to the story's action.  The Reeka characters are strong and intelligent, yet realistically flawed.  Their male counterparts are equally strong and stubborn with all of the strengths and insecurities of real people. 


SOUL OF A MERCENARY

SOUL OF A MERCENARY is the second book in the Heart and Soul Romance series.  SOUL OF A MERCENARY focuses on Reye. In this second book, Reye is working as a mercenary for various warlords. Unlike her sister Tenia, Reye is finding it difficult to leave her former life in the past. Thus, she moves from one job to another trying to outrun the realities of her past and present. Then, Maverk the Daamen trader catches up to her and complicates her life even more.

SOUL OF A MERCENARY is more of a romance story than was the first book, Heart of the Outlaw. The story line follows the personal trials and tribulations of the main characters more closely than the overlying science fiction plot. Nonetheless, there is still a great deal of action and adventure in this book.

Though SOUL OF A MERCENARY is the second book in the Heart and Soul series, each book in this series is fully self-contained.  Therefore, one can read SOUL OF A MERCENARY without having read the
first book. Nonetheless, reading the first book does give the reader more information on the collective personality traits and historical background of the Reeka and the Daamen cultures. 

 
HEART OF THE BETRAYED

HEART OF THE BETRAYED is the third book in the Heart and Soul Romance series.  HEART OF THE BETRAYED focuses on Tenia and Reye's cousin Dana.

In this third book, Dana is serving as a body guard to various royalty and high-powered officials. Garret, the Daamen trader, catches up to her with word of a special mission. Dana has been asked to rescue Rominac, Dana's long lost brother, from slavers. The brother and sister had been quite close as small children, but their father Diago had taken the boy away from their family home after the Reeka men had started to die. Diago had strongly believed it was the Reeka women who were murdering their male companions and children.

HEART OF THE BETRAYED is romance story combined with a science fiction story. Moreover, the action and intensity is nonstop from start to finish. Like the other books in the Heart and Soul series, HEART OF THE BETRAYED is fully self-contained. Therefore, one can read this book without having read the first two books.  

 
LOVE'S SWEET ASSASSIN

LOVE'S SWEET ASSASSIN is the forth book of the Heart and Soul Romance series. LOVE'S SWEET ASSASSIN focuses on Katina.

In this book, Katina is hired as an assassin to kill Kiile of Argon. Unfortunately, her murderous plot is foiled and Katina is taken captive by Kiile. This is not the first assassination attempt on Kiile and he wants to get to the bottom of these attacks.

LOVE'S SWEET ASSASSIN is a romance story of sorts. The story illustrates the fine line between love and hate, and the power of love to heal the most grievous wrongs. 

 
SOUL OF A HUNTER

SOUL OF A HUNTER is the fifth book in the Heart and Soul Romance series. SOUL OF A HUNTER focuses on Sabra, a Daamen by birth and Tenia's
cousin by marriage.

Sabra has been living in the outlaw quarter as Cormac's bounty hunter protégée. The young girl has been tracking down and killing those outlaws responsible for the murder of her father, mother, and their Daamen crew. Things get a little more complicated for Sabra when she stumbles into the Daamen trader, Cam, and he takes her back to her original homeland. 

SOUL OF A HUNTER is a  romance story about healing and finding one's path in the wake of adversity.  Like the rest of the books in this series, the female characters are strong, stubborn, and humanly flawed, perhaps even more realistic in this book than in the others of this series.  Also like the other books in the Heart and Soul series, Soul of a Hunter is fully self-contained. 

 
LOVE'S BEWITCHING THIEF

LOVE'S BEWITCHING THIEF is the sixth book of the Heart and Soul Romance series. In LOVE'S BEWITCHING THIEF, the reader learns of a new race of people called the Felys. The Felys are a nearly extinct feline like race of people with insatiable sexual appetites while in heat. This book focuses on a single Felys a young thief named Lysie.  Lysie chooses an Argon man named Marten as her target for thievery.  She succeeds the first and second time by wearing various disguises but is eventually caught.

LOVE'S BEWITCHING THIEF is a lustful romance story. Like the rest of the books in this series, the female characters are strong, stubborn, and sarcastic. Unlike the previous stories however, this book has a little more humor and playfulness.
