I happen to be among the lucky ones.  My husband and I married fifteen years ago and haven't run into the troublesome issues that many couples surrounding us experience.  HOW TO AVOID MARRYING A JERK is for both men and women who have problems finding their soulmate.

The book offers true-life accounts of people's searches for Mr. or Ms. Right.  The author, a specialist in marriage and relationships, uses his own life experience, his studies, and his clinical trials to create a simple, yet practical guide that will help you choose someone more suiting to your relationship needs.

At the heart of the book is the RAM (Relationship Attachment Model) approach.  The keys to a lasting relationship lie in five areas:  Knowing, Trusting, Relying, Touching, and Committing.  To find a suitable life partner, you must find a suitable balance with all of these items.  Touching covers the sexual aspects of the relationship, including premarital sex.  The book is packed with self-assessment questionnaires, examples, and warning signs.

The author raises some excellent points.  I cannot truly account for whether the advice will work, as I am not single.  However, I do feel that those who fall into the same failing relationship time and time again will find a lot of the information inside HOW TO AVOID MARRYING A JERK to be extremely worthwhile.
