Through out the book, there are werewolves, shape shifters, cats, and other creatures of the night. Which ones can Arielle trust? She is attracted to two men, how can she choose? Also, passages from the Book of the Dead, references to Cleopatra, Egyptian gods and goddesses, séances, and Arielle’s dead mother are intertwined within the pages of the story.

Shannon, the author, has a well-developed storyline. However, I found the book difficult to read. This book was my first experience with the paranormal romance genre. Although I am an avid reader of fantasy, the paranormal romance genre was not a good fit for my taste. Also, the text focused much attention to the pleasures of the flesh. The author did a fine job of describing the carnal desires of her characters.
