There is a lot of focus on getting fit and eating healthier. LEAN MOM, FIT FAMILY puts the focus on mom launching the change. The six-week plan helps mom create nutritious meal plans, get her family adjusted to getting some exercise, and making it fun at the same time. I really enjoyed the push to make this a fun project over having it seem over excessive or tedious, especially when some children and husbands will be reluctant to change their typical routine. Focus is placed on: The Seven Principles Of Family Fitness and The Lean Mom, Fit Family Six-Week Plan. Included in the book are sample meal plans and recipes to help you along. Though it is geared towards "mom", the plan is easily adapted to fit "dad" as well. I know many men who do the cooking and the bulk of the childcare in their households. The information provided within LEAN MOM, FIT FAMILY is easy to follow and concise. The book won't take up much of your time, and the content is better than much of what I've seen this past year. I happened to be at my children's check-ups as I read this book, and their doctor skimmed it through quickly and said there is a lot of merit to the information within. I think it is a must-read for many of today's families.
