It is this reader's belief that the DECODING THE UNIVERSE is not going to appeal to those who are not extremely interested in the more minute workings of the universe.  Charles Seife's non-fiction offering delves into many aspects of life from the theory of relativity to military strategies.  The author brings up how even once scientists feel they have made a startling revelation that the ever evolving laws of science will then alter that revelation making previous studies seem in need of further exploration.

The writing is very detailed and contains many scientific theories, studies, and to me the more baffling quantum theory.  I don't get it and to tell you the truth I am not sure I really want to understand it.  It simply feels too complex for the average person.

I think if you are fascinated with these theories, DECODING THE UNIVERSE is definitely worthwhile.  If you are like me and never found the interest in science that others did, you may want to pass it by.
