In
KNIT ONE, KILL TWO, Kelly does, however, have a great aunt who loves to
knit, quilt, and take care of people. Unfortunately,
someone kills Kelly’s aunt and then steals both money and an heirloom
quilt. Kelly does not
believe that the police have the right person in custody.
Meanwhile, Kelly is left with questions: Why would they want the quilt?
Why did her aunt refinance her house for $20,000 when neither
Kelly nor her aunt needed money—or did she? KNIT
ONE, KILL TWO is a mystery story alright.
As Kelly learns how to knit, something she stubbornly refused to
learn from her great aunt, she also uncovers the wonderful place of
which her great aunt was a central part, leaving Kelly to come to grips
with her past. KNIT
ONE, KILL TWO brought back some good memories of the time when my
grandmother taught me how to knit and crotchet.
We would sit around and drink tea and eat cookies.
This was how Kelly solved the mystery--by knitting and talking
with her new friends. KNIT ONE, KILL TWO is a book that I enjoyed reading, and coincidentally it is based in the state in which I live, Colorado. The next time I go to Fort Collins, I am going to check on the place that the Ms Sefton used as the setting for this book. Even if you do not know how to knit do not worry, you will be far more interested in helping Kelly find the person who killed her aunt.
