THE BEST OF THE SHOW offers up some of Sports Illustrated columnist Bill Scheft's sports humor.  One hundred of his best columns are included.  Following each column, readers will get more insight from the author's personal notes, jokes that didn't make the cut, and hits from the one-hit wonder listed at the end of each column.

I come from a die-hard Boston sports household.  There is no such thing as "no sports" under my roof.  Football merges into hockey which merges into baseball and then back to football.  Thankfully, my husband got bored with basketball years ago...  THE BEST OF THE SHOW offers some very nice jabs at the Yankees.  I spent a lot of time laughing out loud.  But equal time, no one is safe from Bill Scheft's pen, the Red Sox take some bantering as well.  Every sport is covered and no player is safe from Bill Scheft's very adept views of the sports, the salaries, the players, and everything in between.  If you are a sports fan or even have a basic understanding of the sports and the players, this collection is for you.
