Kayla Franklin adopted Maggie as a newborn infant. Maggie’s biological parents did not want a child with a disability. Maggie is Kayla’s life, so much so Kayla saved until she had enough for a down payment on a farm and the time to help Maggie develop all of her abilities.

     Unfortunately, with the farm comes with complications--mainly two men named Roth Simons and Vint Fillmore.  Both men want Kayla, but each man comes with baggage. Each man has qualities that would make him an excellent addition to Kayla’s life, but who is best for Maggie? 

FOR LOVE OF MAGGIE is a good book. It is basically a romance story that touches the heart. However, I didn’t understand how a single unemployed mother of a special needs child could afford all of the extras that Kayla provides for Maggie.  I have two children with special needs and work with children who have special needs, so I guess that is why I focused in on this aspect of the book.  Other than that, the book is good, and I do recommend it.
