While
mysteries are not my usual choice of reading, occasionally a book comes
along that catches my attention. WHEN THE LAST MAGNOLIA WEEPS is just
such a book.
Willi Taft, a former Nashville session singer, is now a private
investigator. While attending a Celtic concert, a priest is
murdered, and Willi becomes involved in the case when one of her
musician friends becomes a suspect. When she comes closer to
discovering the identity of the
murderer, Willi is badly shaken by the deceptions and treachery she is
uncovering.
The characters are very lifelike and I found myself almost living the
scenes from WHEN THE LAST MAGNOLIA WEEPS. Needless to say, I did
not guess the identity of the killer until it was revealed in the
story. Mystery fans, young and old, will enjoy this book.
