Rachel Garrett thinks her life is boring. Working the night shift at the morgue can do a real number on your social life. Then, one night a handsome dead guy changes her life forever. All she can remember are his beautiful silver eyes and an ax plunging into her chest. Etienne Argeneau could not let the woman who had just saved his life die. He did the only thing he could do, he "turned" her. Immortality was usually reserved for a life mate since his kind could only turn one person in their lifetime. Would he be alone for the next 300 years as he had the first? Would this woman accept that she was now a vampire? Paranormal romance was new territory for me, but Lynsay Sands grabbed me on page one and I never looked back. The plot moved quickly and the characters were wonderful. I was completely fascinated by the vampire angle, an angle that I initially thought would be very distracting. I fell in love with the whole family! I would recommend this book to any of my romance and non-romance reading buddies. Great book.
