As a ten-year veteran of the Denver police department and member of a family in which the members NEVER stay married for long, the last thing one would expect Lucy Olivera to do is get hitched.  Lucy is madly in love with Ruben del Fierro and wants nothing more than to make this marriage work.  If she can convince herself to walk down the aisle, she'll be set.

Teaming up to help their friend in her time of greatest need, Annette, Cristina and Mercedes, Lucy's childhood pals, turn their backs on their own problems to ensure that Lucy can't bail.  Unfortunately she does exactly that, so they turn their attentions towards finding a reclusive witch who is known for her power to transform people's lives.  One question remains, does she really exist?

What an amazing book!  Each character was so unique and different from the other; they all added realism to every aspect of the story.  It was so easy to relate to - no one has a perfect life; we are all human!

I looked forward to each and every moment that I I sat down with this book.  I grew to feel as if each character was a true friend, and by the end I was still ready for more.  I definitely want to read more by Lynda Sandoval.  UNSETTLING was very, very enjoyable.
