The truth of the matter is that I had to actually battle my husband for this book.  I received it for review, yet he grabbed it and proceeded to read it in one sitting.  You see, he is a huge fan of Holly Robinson Peete--he loved her in Hangin' With Mr. Cooper.  I was a fan of 21 Jump Street, and I've always enjoyed her down to earth quality.  I was hoping that aspect would shine in her book, and happily, it does!

Packed with humor, historical facts, game rules, and insight into an NFL player's life, GET YOUR OWN DAMN BEER hooks you from the start.  Even my husband, who makes calls before the referees, found that he was learning a lot. 

This is why I am certain that women will buy the book for their own education and enjoyment (hey, there's even a section on the best behinds in the sport), but men will soon be moving it onto their side of the bed.  It is a must read for anyone who enjoys or wants to enjoy the game of football!
