The Women’s Murder Club

Originally reviewed in hardcover format in March 2003. Okay,
I have issues with James Patterson and Andrew Gross’s latest
installment in The Women’s Murder Club series.
I can’t go into these issues, however, as it would give a huge
spoiler. Suffice it to say,
there is a major shocker within! Detective
Lindsay Boxer is out for a run when a townhouse she is admiring explodes
right in front of her. Lindsay
rushes in to search for survivors and rescues a young boy.
She soon learns that the boy has an infant sister who is now
missing. Also found at the
scene is a backpack with a cryptic note that this is just the start of a
war against profitable business owners. Soon
more cryptic emails are popping up and more victims are losing their
lives to a madman. When he
targets one of the four Murder Club women, their lives will remain
changed forever. I adore The Women’s Murder Club series; I have from the very start. The four women have become like close friends within the first two, and I was eager to find out what happened next. In true James Patterson fashion, you’ll be pondering the outcome for a long time after you close the book. If you haven’t read the series yet, I suggest reading them in order to get the true impact of 3rd DEGREE.
