COWBOY CHRISTMAS is a collection of three historical romances; A Rancher's Heart by Catherine Palmer, Undercover Cowboy by Lisa Harris, and The Outlaw's Gift by Linda Goodnight.

In A RANCHER'S HEART, Victoria Jennings is left destitute following her father's death. After all of his debts are paid, she is left with a check for two dollars, which her employer takes. If she can manage to scrape enough money together from the sale of her few possessions, she can return to her father's former ranch and try to gain employment as a housekeeper. She does not know that the cowboy she fell in love with and then turned away from in favor of another man is now part owner in the ranch. Jesse Conroy bears a deep hurt from their former love and does not want Victoria on the ranch. Can Victoria win Jesse's love back?

In UNDERCOVER COWBOY, Abigail Covington's father, crippled and now confined to a wheelchair, is unable to manage the ranch and Abigail is trying desperately to keep the ranch going. Her father has been accused of rustling the neighbor's cattle and forcing them out of competition with him. When Cole Ramsey applies for work, Abigail turns him down, but her father, who knows Cole's family, hires him. How can Abigail overcome her mistrust of Cole and let him help her learn the truth about her father?

In AN OUTLAW'S GIFT, Raven Patterson's parents are both dead and Raven is desperately trying to hold the family together on their ranch. The family dog, Red, had to be killed as he was old and in pain and Raven was having difficulty digging the grave for the dog. A cowboy, Seth Blackstone, rides up and helps Raven bury Red. Raven's brother, Joshua, instantly likes Seth, but Raven's sister, Fanny, doesn't want Seth to stay. When Sheriff Clifford and some of the townspeople show up at the ranch, intending to split up Raven's family, Seth is quick to announce that he is the new hired hand and will get the ranch back on its feet.

Each of the three stories has its element of mystery. What is the secret each of the cowboys is hiding? Can they win the love of the young woman? The three stories fit nicely together in the book and are the type of story best read when there are no interruptions. I'll be looking for more stories from each of these authors.
