Poppy Palin's newest book, CRAFT OF THE WILD WITCH, is more than just your average spellbook.  It's a clever blend of prose, reminiscence, poetry, chants, history, and, yes, spells.  CRAFT OF THE WILD WITCH is as interesting a journey for the experienced magical practitioner, as it is for the novice.  Ms. Palin takes particular care in explaining the wild witch's path--a life of attunement with nature, the seasons, and one's own inner voices. 

CRAFT OF THE WILD WITCH includes discussions of the seasons and Sabbaths, rituals, chants, holiday celebrations, personal and natural meditations, herb-lore, nature lore, and a discussions on how to attune oneself with the natural world.  This book is so packed with information on the "green way" that it's almost impossible to list all the areas covered.  Needless to say, CRAFT OF THE WILD WITCH is one of the most comprehensive books on the wild witch's path, hedge witchery, or natural magick--regardless of the name you prefer.

CRAFT OF THE WILD WITCH is very well-written and researched.  Ms. Palin's writing is poetic and easy to read.  She takes particular care to make sure that beginning readers won't be lost and advanced readers won't be bored.  Those readers who were enchanted by Ms. Palin's artwork in GREEN SPIRITUALITY:  MAGIC IN THE MIDST OF LIFE (written by Rosa Romani) will find CRAFT OF THE WILD WITCH a natural extension of the thoughts and lifeways expressed in Ms. Romani's wonderful book.  CRAFT OF THE WILD WITCH is an absolute must read for practitioners of the wild witch's way, beginners to the Craft, or those interested in natural living in general.  Good work, Ms. Palin!  I'm hoping for a continuation to CRAFT OF THE WILD WITCH in the near future.
