After a psychic tells her that she will marry her groom in six months and that his name will start with a D and end with a K, Mia Calogera remains skeptical but perhaps hopeful. Her grandfather has offered to toss her out of her apartment if she isn't married by her thirtieth birthday, and he's prepared to find her a suitable husband. Mia takes to the internet and finds a man named Derek who could be a good match. On her flight to Vegas, Mia meets Dom, a handsome Italian who makes her heart flutter. Could Dom be the man the psychic meant? Unfortunately, she's already engaged and in her wedding gown. How will fate play out? BRIDE NEEDS GROOM is another book featuring a member of the Chickalini family. Dominic was featured in Once Upon A Blind Date, and now it is his turn to fall head over heels. Characters from previous books make appearances, but never steal the show from Mia and Dom. While I enjoyed BRIDE NEEDS GROOM, the flash-backs threw off the story's pace. They did allow more insight to the characters, but I did not feel they were integral to the plot. In reality, they slowed the story down for me. Just as I was getting into the swing of things, another flashback would occur and it soon came to a case of "not again" instead of enjoying where things were going. BRIDE NEEDS GROOM has great premise; it just lost me with the shifts in time.
