Tony award winning actress Meg Addams is fed up with being overlooked on Broadway because of her age. When her fifteen-year-old daughter is caught carrying a gun to school, she decides it is time to go home to Glenhaven Park, the place where Meg grew up. After learning her former high school crush, Sam Rooney, is to be her next door neighbor, Meg realizes that her passion for Sam is still strong. Despite the fact that she is living in a haunted house, she is bound and determined that Glenhaven Park is the place both she and her daughter belong. Sam is a widower who is trying to raise his son and daughter single-handedly. When his daughter appears to have taken too much of a liking to Meg, Sam tries to cool things off, but an interfering ghost may just have other plans in store. I've been a fan of Wendy Markham/Wendi Corsi Staub's books for years. LOVE, SUBURBAN STYLE is a fun romance, but it didn't strike me as being quite as gripping as other novels. I didn't find the romantic tension between Meg and Sam to be overly convincing, they fell just far too easily for me. Nevertheless, LOVE, SUBURBAN STYLE is certain to please those looking for a single parent story that packs a few twists.
