His sister has been brutally raped and murdered. Discovering Mary Alice's body is a memory that sixteen-year-old Danny Calloway will never forget. His testimony helps put the killer in jail, but Kevin Green vows he is innocent and that he will get even. Years pass, Danny is now a star basketball player. Regardless of his success, Danny has never forgotten his vow to make Kevin pay. When Kevin comes up for parole, Danny begins contemplating his choices. Times have changed, Danny is in love, and he can't move on with his life until he's come to terms with his past. TWO WRONGS is rather predictable to this reader. Though there are plenty of twists, I found that nothing truly surprised me. The writing is well-paced and the action builds steadily. However, the characters came across as rather bland. By the end of the book, I found I'd stopped caring about anything Kevin and Danny did or said. This made it hard to finish the book. Perhaps those who do not read as many mysteries as I do will have more success with TWO WRONGS. For me, however, it was an okay story. That's where the problem lies. The story is just that-- okay, nothing special. |
