Following on the success of his book TWELVE ORDINARY MEN, John Macarthur takes a look at some of the Bible’s most important women. Each woman comes from a different walk of life, but her tie with “God’s Plan” cannot be denied. The twelve women featured in the book are as follows: Eve, Sarah, Rahab, Ruth, Hannah, Mary (Jesus’s mother), Anna, the unnamed Samaritan, Martha, Mary (Lazarus’s sister), Mary, Mary Magdalene, and Lydia. Each section delves into each woman’s origins through an extensive biography and offers Biblical passages that further explore woman’s life, and role in the Bible. TWELVE EXTRAORDINARY WOMEN is not easy reading, but it is very engaging. Packed with scripture and historical detail, readers will be fascinated by this complex look at these central Biblical figures.
