It didn’t matter that Roxy was so enamored with the writer C.J. Dante’s Dark Ones, Joy was not one to believe in all that lore about vampires either.

However, upon arriving in Blansko, Joy immediately feels another’s presence. Not only that, she can sense his thoughts and his feelings. Unused to such things, she passes it off to the mysterious air and mumbo jumbo Miranda put in her head. When things really get interesting is when not one, but two dark, mysterious men enter the bar where they are and Joy comes face to face with the child of darkness. But which one is it?

Dominic, Christian and Raphael are all three dark and mysterious. However, it is Raphael that captures Joy’s imagination and heart. With Christian talking mentally to her all the time, is she making the right choice or has she fallen for the wrong man?

This book is so much fun, even if it is written in the first person. I’m not usually one that likes first person, but I got over that quickly as I got into the story. Joy is a hoot, with witty and off beat remarks, she reminds me of me! Katie does a great job of giving you just enough clues to keep you guessing until the end. Are there really vampires? Will Joy pick the right man or has she chosen the child of darkness she was warned against?

With each page, I was enthralled and laughing out loud. A GIRL’S GUIDE TO VAMPIRES really made a few hours fly by! And I can’t wait to see how Joy makes good on her promise at the end!
