Shades of James Bond!  Drake MacKenzie and Diana Traynor are attempting to control an experimental U. S. Government space laser, code named Prometheous  If successful, they will use it to extort huge sums of money.

Phineus Teague, code named Python, has the assignment to thwart the attempted takeover. Amber Robinson, working for Unit 7, a shadowy government organization, is assigned to keep an eye on Diana. To Amber's concern, Phineus keeps popping up at inconvenient moments and is jeopardizing her surveillance.  Despite the romantic attraction between them, Amber and Phineus are determined to maintain their distance from each other.

THE SPY WHO LOVES ME is a fast paced read.  Julie Kenner does a wonderful job keeping the reader guessing how the plan to control the laser will be thwarted.  All lovers of romantic suspense will want to read this book.
