TWIN PEAKS offers the reader three long, short-stories about love, lust, and life for the modern working girl.  Susan Johnson and Jasmine's Haynes steamy offerings include Johnson's "Wedding Surprise," a tale of highschool romance set between two teachers.  Sofie Piper falls for football coach Jake Finn, but she's not really sure she can trust him.  Can Jake win the lovely Sofie's heart?  Or will all his victories be confined to the football field?

In Haynes "Double the Pleasure," dowdy office assistant, Kristin Prescott has a huge crush on her dapper boss, Ross Sloan.  But, work-a-day Kristin despairs of ever catching the business-like Ross' eye.  Desperate, she pretends to be her wild "twin sister" to turn Ross' head.  But, once Kristin's "twin" has Ross on the hook, Kristin begins to wonder if it is her that Ross loves or the carefree doppleganger that she's created.

"Skin Deep," the final story in the office-love anthology, furthers the story of Kristin, Ross, and Kristin's twin, Kirby.  In this tale, Kirby is the protagonist, a sort of twisted Clark Kent who is both jealous of her sister and of her sister's lover, Ross.  Kirby is disgusted by Kristin's dog-like devotion to Ross--or so she says.  Seeking to distance herself from her twin's romance (carried on, of course, previously in her name), she throws herself at Jack Taylor, an old fling.  Kirby makes it clear that this is a case of lust only, but Jack is unwilling to take no for an answer this time.  Could the elusive Kirby have finally met her match? 

Cute, witty, and full of irony, TWIN PEAKS is a great romance anthology.  This is the perfect book a lunch break, a long weekend, or a hour or two's getaway.  Just drop your cares and jump into TWIN PEAKS.  The trials and tribulations of these office gals will certainly take your mind off your own troubles!
