While I try to reduce my sugar intake, I find that some sweeteners (Sucralose, Saccarin, Aspartame…) increase my anxiety. For some reason, the sugar substitutes make me edgy. So a year ago, I tried Stevia for the first time. Stevia is a super-sweet herb that is becoming more common. It’s sweetening power is amazing, it’s all natural, and it retains its sweetness after baking. Lisa Jobs offers one of the very first Stevia cookbooks that I’ve come across. SENSATIONAL STEVIA DESSERTS offers a slew of recipes that all use Stevia as a sweetener. Inside you’ll find the recipes broken down by categories: Cakes/Icings, Cookies, Pies/Tarts, Squares/Bars, Crepes/Cobblers/Dumplings, Puddings/ Mousses/Custards, Specialty Desserts, Chilly Treats, Confections, and Dessert Beverages. I tested a few of the recipes and found my favorite (so far) is the Positively (Divine) Peanut Butter Pie. It’s definitely a winner with my family.
