We meet Teresa July when a force of Pinkerton agents, US Marshals, local Sheriffs and bounty hunters, is pursuing her. As predicted, she finds herself behind bars by sunset. Hanging Judge Parker, wanting to teach her a lesson, has sentenced her to three years in a federal prison in Pennsylvania and not one in her beloved West.

After three years of scrubbing prison laundry, Teresa is released into a halfway house run by Molly Nance. Teresa is unprepared for the welcome given her by Molly and promises to be on her best behavior. When Teresa and Madison, Molly’s son, meet, sparks fly but it isn’t long before the sparks turn to something warmer and Teresa decides she has landed in a life far better than one of crime.
