The headmistress of the School for Heiresses has a radical notion – women need not accept the first offer that comes along. They should find a desirable, suitable mate. Lessons in this curriculum are offered in the school and four women are sent on their holidays with personal assignments.

First in this anthology, from Sabrina Jeffries, we meet Eliza who unwittingly steals a horse belonging to Colin Hunt, who has just been made an Earl. Colin would like nothing more than for her to stay out of his life – or in it forever.

Next, from Liz Carlyle, we meet Martinique – the daughter of a French courtesan, and Lord St. Vrain, a notorious rake. Sparks fly between these two.

Next, from Julia London, we meet Grace, who has been sent to London to attract a mate. Grace’s background is not exactly what the ton would call fit and she attracts all the wrong sorts, especially Barrett Adlaine, of whom her father would never approve.

Finally, we meet Alyssa who suffers from constant mishaps and chaotic ways. On the other hand, Leland Yates is very logical in his ways, so obviously these two will draw sparks.

THE SCHOOL FOR HEIRESSES is a delightful experience for the reader and can be read in one sittings or spread over a few nights. The characters portrayed in the book are a wonderful mix and you will not be disappointed.
