You will learn how to create the intimate, hospitable home you've always
wanted in Jane Jarrell's latest book, SIMPLE HOSPITALITY.
Jarrell,
author of fourteen books, an in-demand radio, TV and conference speaker
and doting wife and mother, espouses the heart felt premise that:
"Fellowship with one another can happen no matter the location,
color of the walls or financial status. Simple hospitality does
not require exceptional surroundings or outstanding ability; it only
requires kindness and a willing heart."
With the idea in mind that many, if not all people tend to be somewhat
"hospitality challenged," the author challenges each and every
one of us to create our own Christian based hospitality ministry.
Among the many suggestions include easy, practical hints for keeping a
spotless home, ideas on how to create the "atmosphere of warmth and
good taste" in our kitchens by turning a few simple ingredients
into marvelous concoctions, sowing cutting and salsa gardens, designing
inviting entrances to our homes, entertaining with panache, teaching our
children how to be gracious and willing participants in our personal
hospitality ministries, how to make sensational and inexpensive gifts
and much, much, much more!
If Jane Farrell had a rubber stamp with the words "Hospitality
challenged," she'd most likely be tempted to emboss my forehead
with it … in red. I found the book to be quite novel and was
amazed at the array of solid, sensible, FUN suggestions she offered up
in these pages. My favorite "recipe" was how to whip up
the ideal Tailgate Party. The only fault I found with the book was
that many recipes
tended to be somewhat regional. The reader should refrain from
shying away from this book due to the "Christian" theme
attached … don't let it deter you from buying this book … there are
some fantastic ideas contained in its pages!
