CRAZY LOVE is the fifth installment of the "Crazy"
series by award winning romance writer Tara Janzen. She may also be
familiar to you under the name Glenna McReynolds, which signifies her
medieval romances. Ms. Janzen has lived in various places throughout the
United States, but at this point in time Colorado is her home. It is not
surprising that she incorporates her love for the state into her
stories!
CRAZY LOVE takes the reader to the super secret Steele Street agency
that picks up and mops up where other government agencies failed. The
cast of characters is as eclectic as the work that needs to be done, and
quirks, animosities, and passions are accepted as long as they do not
interfere with the greater schemes. Dylan Hart has worked hardest to
cultivate that cold-hearted SOB exterior; a man who takes on missions
that most consider destined for failure, he only has one weakness:
Skeeter Bang. She is devoid of pretensions, sensual in her demeanor, and
has the attitude of a gang banger with the street smarts to back it up.
Dylan cannot get her out of his heart and mind, but there is no way he
is going to give in - until the two of them are pitted together during a
mission that should have been a cakewalk but instead turns out to be
riddled with bullets.
CRAZY LOVE makes no pretensions at being a spy thriller or a romantic
comedy. Instead, it is a fast paced thrill ride that takes the reader
into
the world of secrets, Washington insiders, and passion. It is
interesting to
note that while the romance between the two main characters is obviously
the focal point of the story, the other players are cleverly manipulated
and put in place for future books to come. While they take away nothing
from the storyline, they actually add to the appeal of this plot since
the reader gets to know them, and in a way already builds a relationship
with them before it is their turn - or book - to come out and play. A
nice read; great for that long plane ride or car trip this summer!
