THE SECRET PASSION OF SIMON BLACKWELL tells the story of two people who seem to be at odds with each other right from their first meeting. Simon Blackwell’s first thoughts are that Lady Annabel allows her children to run rampant and into the face of danger. When Anne’s sister explains that it is her children and not Anne’s, Simon relents a little and accepts Caroline’s invitation to dinner.

At a later ball, Anne and Simon are discovered in an awkward moment and Anne’s brother demands they marry to avoid scandal. Anne and Simon agree to a marriage which will appear normal on the face but which could be nullified in a year or so. Just how long can they hold themselves from each other?
