DIVINE MADNESS is the 15th book of well known romance
writer and paranormal aficionado Melanie Jackson. A California native
with a quirky sense of humor and a love for the cloak and dagger history
of old Scotland, she has found a creative outlet for her passions in the
world of the written word.
DIVINE MADNESS tells of the struggle Seraphina Sandoval, nee Ninon de
Lenclos, experiences when she seeks to escape from the clutches of the
Dark Man's son. Having bartered her soul she soon finds herself in the
dry and inhospitable regions of Mexico where the belief in the old
deities is still alive. In order to remain her eternally youthful self,
she must allow Saint Elmo's fire to course through her body, but her
enemy knows that this is the point in time when she is weakest and he is
waiting to pounce. At this fork in the road she meets Miguel Stuart, a
man with many dark secrets himself. The mutual attraction is immediate,
and the dance between the two secretive people begins. Yet when
Seraphina offers herself as a sacrifice to an old Aztec god in the hopes
of his help, Miguel's hand is forced - is blood really thicker than
water?
DIVINE MADNESS is a roller coaster ride. There is simply no other way to
describe a paranormal story that involves the mysterious Comte de Saint
Germain, the courtesan Ninon de Lenclos, the famed writer George Gordon
Lord Byron, and an Aztec death god. Add to this a dash of zombies,
vampires, alchemy and also a paranormal romance and you would still be
selling short Mrs. Jackson's novel. The action moves so fast in this
book that it is impossible to put it down, and the reader will feel like
s/he reaches the end of a rollercoaster ride when the last page is
turned. Yet no matter how scary the ride and how tiring the ups and
downs, you are always ready to go again!
