TRUE CONFESSIONS was first released in 2001 and received glowing reviews and the RITA Award for Best Single Title Contemporary Romance of the Year in 2002.  Six years have passed and Avon is reissuing TRUE CONFESSIONS in a trade paperback format.  The story hasn't changed, but if you missed it the first time around, you must read it now!

In the small town of Gospel, Idaho there are three truths:

1.  God's true masterpiece was in creating Sawtooth Wilderness Area.

2.  California is to blame for everything wrong in today's world.

3.  Flatlanders always get lost on Sawtooth Mountain.

When Hope Spencer comes to town, she is hoping to revitalize her job writing unique stories for The Weekly News of the Universe.  Aliens are big now and her editor is pushing her for a bigfoot story, but she's finding it hard to concentrate on her work.  While a couple of events spark story ideas, her problem lies with the sexy Sheriff Dylan Taber.  He's simply too tempting to ignore.

Dylan tries to balance singleparenthood with his job, but in the gossiping town of Gospel keeping his life private is very difficult.  What Dylan cannot tolerate are tabloid papers, and for that very reason Hope realizes she must keep her true profession hidden.  If the truth is revealed, will she lose everything she desires?

TRUE CONFESSIONS is a scintillating romance.  Sexual tension causes pages to sizzle from the start.  Both Hope and Dylan are extremely likeable, and Dylan's son is simply adorable and adds a nice balance of emotion to the storyline.  The story moves along at a nice pace, and while there is the stereotypical misunderstanding thrown in to create tension, it doesn't ruin the story like happens in some romances.  Even though there is a misunderstanding, the reader feels the urgency to keep reading and find out what happens.

There is little to fault in TRUE CONFESSIONS making it a romance to enjoy, regardless of how many times you've read it already.  If you read the book in 2001, it's definitely worth a second read.  If this is your first time, enjoy!
