TANGLED UP IN YOU finds Maddie Dupree back in the small town of Truly, Idaho to write her next book.  She has bought a house on the lake and needs to start getting to know people in order to research the deadly love triangle that she is writing about.  Maddie normally writes about serial killers and this latest book of hers doesn't happen to fall into that category.  

Mick Hennessy runs two local bars and is from a well known local family.  When Mick discovers why Maddie is in town, he is not too happy.  This love triangle that she is writing about involved both of his parents and a local waitress, all of whom ended up dead. 

Maddie and Mick are determined to stay away from each other, since Mick doesn't like the idea of his painful past being dug up.  Maddie is hiding a secret of her own though, this secret is that her Mother is the waitress that was killed by Mick's Mom.  Despite their consciences telling them otherwise, Maddie and Mick engage in a steamy sexual affair that finds them falling in love.  Maddie's secret comes out and Mick is beyond angry when he discovers the truth.  Will these two be able to put their differences aside and have a future together? 

TANGLED UP IN YOU is an amazing story of two people that are unexpectedly drawn to each other.  There is some great sexual energy between Maddie and Mick along with some amusing humor.  I found myself loving the characters and how they grew throughout the story.  Truly, Idaho is a cute little town that hasn't become totally modernized and Maddie and Mick are characters that I would love to hear more about in upcoming books.  TANGLED UP IN YOU is a keeper on my bookshelf.
