After ending an abusive marriage that caused the death of her unborn child, Charity Parris decided to return to her family and friends in New York.  Charity was a police officer among a family of officers.  She showed up at the police station just as her brother, Brian, and his long time friend, Josh Muldoon, were leaving.    Charity took one look at Josh and her body began to sizzle.  She was unprepared for the rush of emotions.  Charity was ushered in to the station straight to her dad, Chief Parris’, office.   The warm welcome of family and friends was exactly what Charity needed.

Nicole Getridge has a wonderfully captivating novel in SHIELDED HEART.  It has a good mix of passion and suspense to make it a hit in this reader’s opinion. For romance and mystery lovers alike, this is a must read.
