Last year, I had the opportunity to review Ms. Gertler's upcoming novel titled DRIFTING. At that time, I was leaving the site I had been with and they opted to remove my name from both the review and interview before putting it online. I am thrilled to have been given a second chance to review DRIFTING, as well as getting the chance to interview this talented author once more. Claire
Cherney and her husband, Eli Bishop, own a seaside inn, Drifting. Now empty-nesters when both children leave for college,
Claire finds herself craving a change.
Raised by her single dad, she never knew her birth mother. Maybe reuniting with her mother is what she is missing? When
two off-season guests, a blind girl and her father, arrive at the inn,
Claire finds the visitors are exactly what she needs.
However, the blind girl’s father is obviously hiding something,
the question is what? Stephanie Gertler is a master at creating poignant, thought-provoking fiction. I adore her books. She has a way with making you read non-stop, and when you reach the ending you are left craving more. An artist with words, Stephanie Gertler is on my must-read list. I never miss her books. Anyone who enjoys moving stories will definitely want to check her out.
