Dana George is onto something! Her new novel, WAITING FOR THE RAINBOW, takes readers to the 1880’s in Pennsylvania. This is not a common setting choice for historic romances, and I definitely enjoyed the refreshing change of pace. Charlotte Lange had been raised by her grandparents following a tragic accident that took her parents’ lives. Her grandparents also raised two orphaned neighbors, Izzy and Rose Holliman, and the three quickly became sisters. Deep down from a young age, Charlotte knew she would never love any man other than Braedan Egan, another orphan who was working in the mines in order to raise his younger brother. What Charlotte didn’t know is that the years would not be so kind. It would take tragedy to tear her family apart and even more tragedy to bring things around full circle. As her life changes, Charlotte wonders if she and Braedan were truly meant to be… WAITING FOR THE RAINBOW is packed with romantic tension, mystery, and suspense. The unique setting makes it stand out among its competition, and the spiraling turns of event keep the reader guessing as to the final outcome. Dana George is certainly an author to watch!
