Samantha Leiffer’s life is far from empty.  Her self-help guru mother continually takes center stage with the world.  Samantha’s bizarre group of friends liven her nights.  And, her day job as a preschool teacher allows her to spend time doing something she loves.  Samantha’s life is about to take a drastic turn.

While out walking, Samantha spies a couple throw an ice chest into the Hudson River.  When she later spots a man wearing the same bizarre contacts as the man near the river, Samantha knows something is very amiss.  Police think she is overreacting—until the body of a child is found in the ice chest Samantha described.

It quickly becomes apparent that someone plans to keep Samantha silent.  Threatening notes, destructive break-ins and chilling phone calls become part of her days.  Can the detective assigned to the case keep her safe?  Can he remain focused as their passion for one another takes center stage? 

Not quite a romance, HIDE YOUR EYES contains more chills than scintillation, but that doesn’t stop the pages from heating up as the story progresses.  This appears to be the introduction of Samantha and Detective John Krull—a sequel to HIDE YOUR EYES is currently in the works and due out in 2006.
