HOPE'S HIGHWAY is the second book in Dorothy Garlock's Route 66 trilogy.

Brady Hoyt, having gained the custody of his niece, Anna Marie, following a tragedy in the family, is on his way to California to leave her with her aunt.  Meanwhile, Margie Kinnard, and her father, Elmer, have joined a caravan of families on their way to California to seek a better life. One evening, when a red ball is lost beneath her father's truck, Margie meets
Anna Marie and Brady, who have camped in the same campground. Anna Marie and Brady join the caravan.

Brady, who has seen the worst side of women, and Margie, who has seen the worst side of men, try to avoid letting feelings develop between them, but
to no success. What follows is a wonderful story that tells the story of the people who traveled Route 66 during the 1930s and adds the flavor of romance
to the theme.

Once I had started HOPE'S HIGHWAY, I found it difficult to put down to attend to other matters. Dorothy Garlock's story captivates the reader from page one.
