Willow Mabson may be considered to be proper and sensible but when she meets James Sterling, an aristocrat working for Scotland Yard, she finds him to be irresistible. James suspects Willow’s mother in a recent murder and Willow will do anything – well, most anything – to keep her family’s name protected.

Reluctantly, James allows Willow to work with him to uncover the murderer but also finds Willow to be more than just a working associate. It isn’t long before pleasure gets in the way of common sense and Willow begins to fall for the dashing and arrogant aristocrat.
