The characters from Zoey Dean’s The A-List series are back.  For those unfamiliar with this series, I do suggest picking up the first two books (THE A-LIST and GIRLS ON FILM) before diving into the latest.  The character relationships will make more sense, if you have experienced the series from the start.

Anna gets the chance of a lifetime.  After her current boss fires her, Anna is quickly snatched up by her nemesis’s dad, Clark Sheppard.  He needs an intern for the hit new television series, Hermosa Beach.  Cammie, who seriously loathes Anna, is disgusted that her father seems to think Anna is all that.  Cammie is determined to exact her revenge.

The A-List books are catty, wicked and thrilling.  Cammie and Anna’s relationship reminds me of a teen version of the rivalry between Alexis and Krystle from Dynasty back in the 1980’s.

 I have grown to adore this series.  The teens live lives that most of us only dream about, but I find that is half the pleasure—seeing the good and bad aspects of a fairy tale existence!  There are drug and alcohol issues that pop up, but sadly they are common problems with teens, so it is necessary to have them.  I think this series is a great choice for teen girls and their moms.
