Sophomore Natalie "Nat" Page lives and breathes for running.  She quickly moves from the junior varsity team to the varsity team, but she isn't convinced the older teens will ever accept her as one of them.  Nat has her eyes set on a fellow track member, Zach Fulton, but getting him to notice her is a whole other challenge.

When Nat learns that she is flunking geometry and about to be kicked off the track team, she becomes desperate.  Desperate enough to accept her teacher's deal--tutoring.  Her tutor turns out to be one of the geeks from her class, Matt Turner.  Matt makes Nat feel stupid.  She's not sure she'll be able to stand tutoring, and she most certainly can't tell anyone that she's failing--especially her parents.  If they knew, they'd pull her from the track team for good.

So when Nat's parents catch the pair together, Nat has to think quick.  She announces that Matt is her new boyfriend.  Now her parents adore him, Zach is finally showing her the time of day, and Nat's not sure she really wants to break things off with Matt as soon as the tutoring is over. What's a girl to do?

As a grown-up, I can easily remember what Nat is experiencing and couldn't put it down because I wanted to see if Nat would wise up or continue down the path to ruin.  It was kind of a "been there, done that" situation for me.

Stephie Davis' latest novel is charming, fun, and so romantic.  It is the final book in a series that I have adored from the start.  Stephie Davis is a name that will grace many teen readers' shelves, and deservedly so!
