Major
Nathan Malone expects his DWI charge will get him fired from the Office
of Special Investigations (OSI). It seems the axe is about to fall
when Nathan is released into the custody of Major Wilson, aide to
Lieutenant General Neal Crenshaw, the Air Force Academy superintendent.
To Nathan’s surprise, he finds he is being released to head up an
investigation into the deaths of two Academy cadets, subjects in a sex
scandal. General Crenshaw feels he is about to get fired because of the
scandal. Senator
Kevin Smith is conducting his own investigation into the scandal and
appoints his assistant, Kaitlin Barlow, to become part of the OSI team.
When Nathan discovers that Kaitlin is the twin sister to Christina
Barlow, an earlier murder victim, and has the power of the Senator’s
office behind her, all hell breaks loose. Senator Smith would like
nothing better than to wield the axe. Suspicions
mount up and the reader is kept glued to the edge of their chair by the
twists and turns in the investigative process. While I am not usually a
murder mystery lover, THE SHATTERED BLUE LINE grabbed my interest and
held it right through the final page. Patrick A. Davis has a style of
writing that wraps the reader up in the story.
