An
Islamic extremist with ties to al Qaida commandeers some nerve agent.
Nigel Ferris knows what a catastrophe is in the making if the
nerve agent isn’t caught soon, but to capture a madman, Nigel and his
team must figure out who took it and where they have stored it.
Nigel’s job worsens when he is reunited with the only woman
he’s ever loved, Melissa Pope. Melissa
is a photojournalist who has apparently ticked someone off.
Melissa stops into an area diner for a quick cup of coffee and a
slice of apple pie, and the next thing she knows she awakens from an
unconscious state covered in someone else’s blood.
She calls the only man she can trust—Nigel. Nigel
and his team soon learn that Melissa is wanted for murdering a member of
the Turkish Consulate. Nigel
knows Melissa is incapable of murder, and strychnine in her blood proves
his instinct is correct. Melissa
is recovering from a poisoning, but who wants her dead and why?
With two pressing matters at hand, Nigel works furiously to save
Melissa and stop someone from using the deadly nerve gas on innocent
people. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m growing tired of the whole terrorist themed romances. Dee Davis is a favorite of mine, her books are always packed with edge-of-your-seat suspense and intriguing characters, but I’m ready for a change of pace—something that doesn’t bring up issues that are in the news, on television, and seemingly in all the books as well. EXPOSURE is the final book in the Last Chance trilogy. Characters from the previous books all have their place within this story, and fans will be delighted to catch up with everyone. If you’ve missed the previous stories, don’t worry, EXPOSURE stands alone.
