After losing both of her parents and being shot, Lois Commoner finds that her life now revolves around pills and pain.  She has little hope of escape--outside of suicide--and longs for a world where good triumphs over evil, rights are made wrong, and her knee just doesn't hurt so much.  Lucky for Lois, she finds herself transported to a magical kingdom where shapeshifters rule, magic is mundane, and Lois is a real catch.  Claimed in a bridefight by one of the Kingdom's princes, Damon, Lois now has to decide if she wants to stay with her handsome hubby--who spends part of his time as a big cat--or go back to earth and her old life.  Such difficult choices for the modern day girl made princess!  And, this is just the first short story in Maryjanice Davidson's witty anthology.  Each Prince will find his lady-love and even the King manages to hook up with the girl of his dreams. . .it's just to bad that the rest of the cast don't appreciate his taste in Queens.

REALLY UNUSUAL BAD BOYS gives the reader just what it promises--really, really unusual bad boys.  The thing is that the "bad boys" are not really that bad.  Sure, they might shapeshift a little, but they do happen to be princes and charming in a dark and dangerous sort of way.  This is a fairytale gone awry--imagine "Sex in the City" meets "Cinderella."  Packed with love, lust, and myriad plot twists, REALLY UNUSUAL BAD BOYS is just the thing for a long, dark night.  Curl up with this book and forget about the fireplace--it has more than enough excitement to heat up the dullest and chilliest night!
