There are a number of factors that influence how well a business will run, or how successful a person can be in his/her career, or even in life: one of those factors is whom you know and by whom you are known. Enlarge on that idea to include how you are known to whom you are known and how you would like to meet more people and who those people should be—and you are beginning to understand the basic premise of Dr. Bette Daoust’s book, BLUEPRINTS FOR SUCCESS—NETWORKING: 150 Ways to Promote Yourself.

Dr. Daoust has her Ph.D. in Business Management and has enjoyed a background in multiple areas including education, technology, and business administration. She has coined herself Chief Knowledge Officer of her web-based BizMechanix.com.  Her dossier includes being past president of the Rotary Club of Langley Sunrise, sitting on the Board of Directors for professional organizations, and friends and colleagues often refer to Dr. Daoust as the “Networking Queen.”

One hundred fifty ways to promote yourself; that’s a lot of ideas and a lot of information to take in, but the author has organized the book into bite-sized chunks of information, making the reading and the learning that much more successful. Ten chapters, from “What to Join” to “Web Relationships” take the reader through a journey in success. Each chapter is then broken down into fifteen subheadings, ranging from “Your Business Card,” to “Never Burn a Bridge,” and “Events Announcements.”

There’s something in this book for business people of all kinds and in all genres, from web-based to at-home and everything in between. Success requires effort and planning and experience: Dr. Daoust has shared the benefit of her years in the field in this book. Here’s an opportunity to put another tool into your success tool chest; get BLUEPRINTS FOR SUCCESS—NETWORKING: 150 Ways to Promote Yourself for your best self.
