In February, the tenth edition of THE BOOK OF U.S. GOVERNMENT JOBS will be released.  This revised issue contains sample resumes, information on getting the salary you want, jobs with Homeland Security, and chapter objectives before each chapter.

Anyone who has ever thought about taking a job with the U.S. government really needs to purchase this book.  First, it delves into the different jobs that are available and where to find them listed.  It also gives sample exams for many Federal jobs.  The exams can be tougher than you might imagine.  This book is packed with websites for additional information, sample salaries, tips on having a stellar interview, tips on landing a job, and even tips for those with disabilities.

THE BOOK OF U.S. GOVERNMENT JOBS is not a small book.  With more than 300 pages to be found in this textbook-sized book, job seekers are certain to find tips to help them land an ideal job, even if it isn't necessarily with the government.  The chapters on resumes and job interviews will be beneficial to anyone.

If you can answer this question, "It takes two typists three eight-hour days to type up one report.  How many typists would it take to type up two reports in just eight hours?", a job with the government may just be your ideal position.
