Lady Caroline’s prospects for a husband are limited – she is the daughter of Lady Sophia Dalby, a noted courtesan who managed to marry a man of title. Caro would like to enter society but her options are limited – what man would marry her with her mother’s past?
Sophia has the perfect solution – she will purchase a husband for Caro and the Earl of Ashdon fits the ticket. He has outstanding bills and Sophia would gladly pay them for him if he were to marry Caro, but Caro does not want someone who would marry her for her money.
THE COURTESAN’S DAUGHTER is a wonderful story of two people, each pulling their separate ways but the more they pull, the tighter the bonds between them. I found myself immersed in their story and really did not want to put the book down to do other things. Readers should consider this one to be a keeper. Definitely worth the purchase price.
