As a prominent horse
breeder, one thing Samantha Harrigan will not allow is abuse of any
animal, especially a horse. When she comes across a drunk beating
his horse she steps in. Unfortunately, the drunk is tough to fight.
Veterinarian Tucker
Coulter cannot believe such a small woman would take on a drunk, but
he's on her side and the two are still having troubles keeping the
drunk at bay. Tucker wants to get the drunk disabled so that he can
find out how the horse is, but the drunk seems unbeatable.
Eventually, the police are called in and all three are taken into
custody.
After a little
questioning, Tucker and Samantha are released. Tucker is surprised
to learn he is welcomed wholeheartedly into the Harrigan household.
As a veterinarian, that family's ranch could mean plenty of work and
many more referrals. It isn't long before he is falling hard for
Samantha.
Samantha is
determined she will not enter into a relationship again. Her first
husband abused her and tried to take off with her money.
When Samantha's horses are poisoned, she needs a vet she can trust.
Soon, she becomes the prime suspect. Samantha needs an ally, and
Tucker seems to be an excellent choice.
Catherine Anderson's
books always have such a magical pull. The characters are highly
enjoyable, the storylines are gripping, and the romance shines from
first page to last. SUN KISSED is another book in the
Keegan/Paxton/Coulter series that began in 1996 with KEEGAN'S LADY.
Many books are linked to that family tree, but each book can be read
independently.
Having finished SUN
KISSED, I am eager to read others in the series that have been
released and others that are in the works. If you want a
contemporary romance that is character driven, Catherine Anderson
writes some of the best!
